It has been 22 years since a female driver, Giovanna Amati from Italy, participated in the Brazilian Grand Prix race.Susie Wolff, a 31 year old British driver of Scottish origin, is currently living in Ermatingen, Switzerland with her husband, Toto Wolff, the executive director of Mercedes AMG PETRONAS formula one team. Her expanded role in Williams will enable her participate in the free practice sessions at Silverstone, the Germany Grand Prix in July, as well as in the in-season test for the British team (Georgiou, 2012).Wolff began her career at a very tender age. She st arted with karting then proceeded to formula one Renault, and was upgraded to formula three before competing for Mercedes Benz in DTM.
